This Privacy Policy explains how Hangenda ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create or access an account, we may collect information necessary to create and maintain your account.
You may sign in using:
- Apple Sign In
- Google Sign-In
- Email and password
Depending on the sign-in method you use, we may receive information such as your name, email address, and account identifier provided by the authentication provider.
Profile Information
Users may provide and display:
- Name
- Username
Your username and other information you choose to make visible through the App may be visible to other registered users.
Availability Information
The App allows users to create and organize hangouts. When you create a hangout, you may voluntarily provide information such as:
- Where you want to meet
- When you want to meet
- An address or other location description
- Other information you choose to include about the hangout
This information may be shared with the users you invite or otherwise make the hangout available to through the App.
Connections and Search
The App allows users to search for other registered users and establish connections with them.
Information associated with your account, such as your name and username, may therefore be visible to other registered users so they can find and connect with you.
Push Notifications
We use OneSignal to provide push notifications.
Push notifications may be used for purposes such as:
- Plan invitations
- Plan updates
- Connection requests
- Other important App notifications
OneSignal may process information such as device identifiers, push notification tokens, and information necessary to deliver notifications to your device.
You can control notification permissions through your device settings.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not currently request or collect your device's precise location through Location Services.
The App also does not currently allow users to upload profile photographs or other photos.
We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising services to track your activity for advertising or analytics purposes.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage user accounts
- Authenticate users
- Allow users to find and connect with other registered users
- Allow users to create and manage hangouts
- Send invitations and notifications
- Provide and maintain the App
- Respond to support requests
- Protect the security and integrity of the App
- Comply with applicable legal requirements
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses certain third-party services to provide functionality.
Apple
If you choose Apple Sign In, Apple may provide us with information necessary to authenticate your account. Apple's handling of your information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
If you choose Google Sign-In, Google may provide us with information necessary to authenticate your account. Google's handling of your information is governed by Google's privacy policy.
OneSignal
We use OneSignal to deliver push notifications. OneSignal may process information necessary to deliver notifications to your device.
These third-party providers process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
5. Information Sharing
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the App, such as authentication and push-notification providers.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law or legal process
- Protect our rights or property
- Protect the safety of users or others
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, or security issues
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Information Visible to Other Users
Because Hangenda is designed to help users find and connect with other people, certain information may be visible to other registered users.
This may include your:
- Name
- Username
- Connection information
- Plan information that you choose to share with other users
Please do not include sensitive or unnecessary personal information in your username, hangouts, addresses, descriptions, or other information you voluntarily provide through the App.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain account and other information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App and its services, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.
You may permanently delete your account and associated personal information from the Profile screen in the App. If you cannot access the App, contact us at bloom-husk.2n@icloud.com. We may retain information we are required or permitted to keep by law.
9. Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and associated personal information from the Profile screen in the App. Account deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. We may retain information we are required or permitted to keep by law or for legitimate business purposes.
If you cannot access the App, contact us at bloom-husk.2n@icloud.com for help with account deletion.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
